Danny Rohl will be the man to face Brendan Rodgers in the Hampden dugout when Celtic face Rangers in the Premier Sports Cup next month.
For weeks Celtic supporters have had to put up with some of the most inane nonsense on social media after Steven Gerrard and Kevin Muscat were heavily linked with a return to Glasgow.
But now that Danny Rohl is the man Rangers have turned to, Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has shared his reaction to the former Sheffield Wednesday boss’ arrival in Scotland.
And he did it with a superb slant on the Ibrox club, Celtic supporters will appreciate.

The former Arsenal defender was asked about Rohl becoming the new Rangers boss when Parlour had a candid take on the German’s Ibrox arrival.
Parlour told talkSPORT [25m], “I don’t think it can get much worse, can it at Rangers?
“I think it’s a good job to take because I expect them to have a little bit of a bounce now, maybe get a couple of results.
“Celtic are having their problems as well. Hearts at the moment, are doing really well, five points clear at the top.
“Whether they can keep it going, or whether Celtic and Rangers can come back, we have to wait and see. But I don’t think it can get much worse.
“I’ve spoken to some players, and they sound like they enjoyed working under him, so he’s just got to try and hit the ground running and get the first win for Rangers.”
Danny Rohl’s nightmare three games before facing Celtic in the cup
Rohl gets a baptism of fire this week with an away trip to Brann in the Europa League which is then followed up by a tricky home tie against high-flying Kilmarnock at Ibrox.
After that, it’s a trip to Easter Road to face David Gray’s Hibs who have been playing some very good football this season.
Three days after facing Hibs, Rohl will play Celtic in the Premier Sports Cup and judging by the reaction to his hiring already, the new Ibrox gaffer is under immediate pressure to get results, and quickly.
