Steve Whitkof, envoy of U.S. President Donald Trump, addressed his meeting with hostage survivors in a joint statement with Vice President JD Vance. He said that “the meeting was very emotional, I felt blessed to be in that room, there were many tears.” Whitkof added: “I didn’t see victims in the room – I saw strong people who emerged from difficult circumstances, reunited with their families and they are grateful.”
