Israel needs to do “much more” to help the people of Gaza, a United Nations official said Wednesday, even as the flow of aid has increased since Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government signed a ceasefire deal with Hamas.
The UN has “made progress” in its aid deliveries into Gaza in the last two weeks, but Israel still poses challenges to the UN’s humanitarian efforts, UN spokesperson Farhan Haq told reporters on Wednesday.
