Fine Gael’s Presidential hopeful Heather Humphreys will focus her final day of campaigning in Donegal and Sligo.
As Ireland prepares to go to the polls tomorrow to elect our tenth president, Heather Humphreys and Catherine Connolly are both headed west.
Deputy Humphreys will canvass in Ballyshannon this afternoon and will also visit the Killaghtee Parish Hall near Dunkineely.
The Killaghtee Parish said that Humphreys’ visit is a poignant one.
They said: “This visit holds special meaning for us, as Heather has visited before and both she and Senator Manus Boyle have played an instrumental role in supporting our efforts to apply for much-needed funding for our hall.
“We look forward to welcoming her back and showing her the continued progress we’ve strived to make in our parish and community.”
Catherine Connolly will be spending her final day campaigning in Galway and Roscommon.
The left-wing Independent candidate received another boost in the Business Post/Red Poll C, released yesterday, showing she is on course to win the election.
