Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s divorce has been anything but quiet. In fact, from reports that Kidman wanted to work on the marriage but Urban didn’t, to allegations about him possibly having already moved on with a younger woman, without forgetting how the couple’s two daughters are reacting, every day it seems like we learn something new about the split.

Now, RadarOnline.com is reporting that Kidman is ready to enter her “revenge romance era” and that might involve former fiancé Lenny Kravitz. “Nicole and Lenny go way back,” a friend of the actress told the outlet. “What they had was real love, and that connection between them has never really faded. People who know them both say the spark is still there.”

The two began dating in 2003 and quickly became engaged. But their romance fizzled out because, according to a source, “Lenny was deep in his rock’n’roll lifestyle back then – always on the road, making music, and caught up in the scene. Nicole, on the other hand, was looking for stability and a family. They were simply at different points in their lives.”

Now, however, the two are aligned. “Both Lenny and Nicole are single now, so it feels natural for them to reconnect,” a source close to Kravitz said. “He’s been open about wanting to find his soulmate – maybe this is the right moment for them to make it work.”

Kidman’s camp reportedly agrees. “Nicole’s friends are telling her that the best thing she can do for herself is to start having fun again,” a source told the National Enquirer. “And Lenny seems like the perfect person to help her do that!” And not just that. “By all accounts the red-hot chemistry they had has never gone away. It just makes sense to give it another whirl,” the source added. “Who knows where it could lead? Maybe at this stage in life things could work out for them long-term.”

Kidman was also previously married to Tom Cruise. The two wed in 1990 and announced their divorce in February 2001 with a statement about the “difficulties inherent of diverging careers which constantly keep them apart.”

This all comes after reports that Urban has already moved on. “The rumor is that he’s with a younger woman in the business,” a “Nashville music industry source told Daily Mail. “It’s all everyone is talking about. Everyone wants to know who, but so far, that’s a mystery.”

Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop also reported that even though Kidman and Urban had been separated for a while, Kidman was fighting hard to save the marriage, but Urban was not. “Nicole wanted to fight for them, but Keith had already checked out—and she knew why. It wasn’t about distance, schedules, or bad habits. It was about another woman. And Nicole knows who she is,” the columnist reported. Another insider added, “She’s not naïve. She heard the stories; she saw the signs. At some point, the truth becomes impossible to ignore. She’s not going to live as anyone’s second choice.”

And if that means moving on, perhaps with someone she already knows and trusts, then there are worst ways to get over a breakup.
