Manchester United won 4-2 against Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Ruben Amorim secured the biggest win of his tenure against Liverpool at Anfield last weekend and he notched a third win on the bounce against the Seagulls.

Matheus Cunha, Casemiro and Bryan Mbeumo got on the scoresheet for United before Danny Welbeck scored from a free-kick to give Brighton hope of finding a way back into the game. Charalampos Kostoulas scored late on but Mbeumo’s second settled the game.

Here are how United’s players rated at Old Trafford:

Senne Lammens

Has been a breath of fresh air since making his debut against Sunderland. He made a few important saves again, including a stop to deny Yankuba Minteh when the advantage was two goals, but he should have saved Welbeck’s free-kick. 6

Leny Yoro

Was recalled to the team due to Harry Maguire being absent with a knock. Had a few shaky moments in the first half, but recovered to deliver a decent performance. 6

Matthijs de Ligt

Might be enjoying the best season of his career. He has been very good this season and the crowd cheered wildly when he made a crunching tackle in the second half. 7

Luke Shaw

Was brought off with a knock in the 64th minute. United fans will hope the injury is not too serious because Shaw has bounced back after a poor performance in the Manchester derby. 7

Amad

Was unplayable at times against Liverpool and looked sharp again down the right. Was denied a penalty in the first half. 7

Casemiro

Scored through a heavily deflected effort. The 33-year-old broke up play, made some important interceptions and looked good again. 7

Bruno Fernandes

His 300th appearance for the club. Made a genius turn on the stroke of half-time and set the tone from the centre of the pitch. Provided quality in the final 10 minutes when Brighton tried to get back into the contest. 7

Diogo Dalot

Didn’t contribute much going forward and was fine when he needed to defend. Dalot’s best position is on the right, so he deserves credit for performing on the opposite side in the last week. 6

Bryan Mbeumo

Mbeumo and Cunha were the best players on the pitch. He has hit the ground running since arriving from Brentford and deserved his two goals. 8

Benjamin Sesko

Had chances to score but just came up short. The Slovenian is starting to find his feet at Old Trafford. 7

Matheus Cunha

His first goal since signing from Wolves in the summer was worth the wait. He was excellent in the closing stages at Anfield and outlined his importance again with a superb display. 8

Subs

Ayden Heaven

Did well after replacing Shaw. 6

Kobbie Mainoo

Looked slightly like he lacked match practice. 6

Patrick Dorgu

Committed the foul which led to Brighton’s goal. 4

Joshua Zirkzee

Lost his marker for Brighton’s second goal. 4

Manuel Ugarte

Also came on late. 6
