Here’s a look at some of the damage Saturday morning’s storms left behind.
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Powerful storms swept through the Houston area early Saturday morning, leaving behind damage and power outages in their wake.  It was the first of two rounds of storms expected in Southeast Texas.
CenterPoint Energy reported that at its peak, nearly 170,000 customers were without power in the Greater Houston area at the height of the storm. As of 10 a.m., CenterPoint reported that power had been restored to about 120,000 customers.
As the line of storms moved in from the west, several severe thunderstorm warnings and tornado warnings were issued. Â
In Harris County Precinct 3, Commissioner Tom Ramsay shared photos of fallen trees on roadways and crews working to clear them.
