The Toronto Blue Jays had another noticeable individual sitting behind home plate on Saturday night.
Early in the playoffs, Blue Jays fans couldn’t get enough of a jacked Blue Jays fan sitting behind home plate. Then there was Marlins man, who showed up for Game 1 of the World Series on Friday night.
Saturday got the biggest reaction yet, however, as a man dressed as Colonel Sanders blew up on social media.
It was impossible to miss him.

As it turns out, this was done intentionally by KFC Canada given all the excitement surrounding this Blue Jays playoff run. They posted several Instagram stories of the individual ahead of the game in what has been a truly hilarious bit.

This isn’t the first time KFC has tried similar stunts involving Toronto sports teams. A Colonel Sanders impersonator was also spotted at a Toronto Raptors game during the 2023-24 season.

The whole backstory to all of this is that Colonel Sanders had some real ties to Canada. He moved to Mississauga in 1965 in order to oversee his Canadian franchises, and had full control of the KFC brand in Canada until his passing at the age of 90 in 1980.
