Two people have been hospitalised following a collision near Stranorlar earlier this afternoon.

Donegal Daily understands that the incident took place just after midday at the Kilross junction, where the main Letterkenny to Stranorlar road joins with the Convoy to Stranorlar road.

In a statement, Gardaí confirmed that they attended the scene of a two-vehicle collision at Kilross.

Members of the emergency services, including ambulance personnel also attended the scene.

Two occupants of one of the vehicles were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital following the collision, for treatment of injuries that are believed to be non-life threatening.
