Avishai David, father of hostage survivor Evyatar David, said in a statement at Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva before his discharge that he “thanks the dear people of Israel, some of whom did much to free the hostages, without violence, division and incitement. Evyatar and Guy are okay, they underwent torture and treatment only monsters know how to inflict. They are on the path to a long rehabilitation.” Zvika Mor, father of Eitan Mor, said: “He needed more time here. His condition is good relative to what he went through in the last two years. Hamas does not return hostages voluntarily. It’s only the result of military and political pressure.”
