The longest wait is over. Dingle are Kerry county champions after a 77-year wait, and back west they will surely refer to it as ‘The Paul Geaney Final’ for as many years again.
Indeed, to be pedantic, this is the first time a team drawn only from the streets and laneways of the town has won the county championship, and they will savour it all the more for that.
