A half-asleep Sydney man who discovered a $1.5 million lottery win at 2am was so excited he almost called triple zero.
The NSW resident was one of the four division one winning entries in last Saturday’s Lotto draw 4619.
Each division one winning entry won $1,556,751.24.

“I woke up at 2am in the morning to go to the bathroom, and I sleepily decided to check my ticket.
“I saw it and mate, to be honest, I truly was about to call an ambulance.
“I went from dead asleep to total excitement. I remember thinking, ‘I’m overexerting myself here!’, and I had to calm down.”
“It’s safe to say I didn’t fall back asleep after that.
“I have a business and since COVID, it’s been really tough.”
The winning numbers on Saturday, October 27 were 14, 13, 41, 29, 23 and 40, while the supplementary numbers were 17 and 1.
Across Australia, there were four division one winning entries with one each in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania.
