The man has been taken to Beaumont Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

A man in his 40s has been taken to hospital following an assault in Dublin’s north inner city late on Friday evening.
Gardaí are investigating the incident which took place on Sean McDermott Street, Dublin 1 at approximately 10pm last night.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed the man was taken to Beaumont Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
No arrests have been yet been made in the matter and enquiries are ongoing.
The spokesperson added: “Anyone who witnessed this incident or has information relating to the incident is asked to contact Mountjoy Garda Station on 01 666 8000 or the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111.”
