EMERGENCY services attended an arson attack at a house in a leafy Limerick city suburb in the early hours of this Saturday morning.
Gardai responded to the scene on the Father Russell Road in Raheen at around 3am.
It is believed that an explosive device was thrown at the home.
The front of the building is thought to be extensively damaged, however, no injuries have been reported currently.
A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí are investigating an incident of criminal damage at a premises in Raheen, County Limerick in the early hours of this morning, Saturday, July 26, 2025.
”No injuries have been reported at this time. Enquiries are ongoing,” said the Garda spokesperson.
The background to the attack is not known.
Anybody who was in the Raheen area of Limerick city at around 3am this Saturday morning and witnessed any suspicious activity is asked to contact investigating gardai in Henry Street on 061 212400.
