Casemiro would lay the ball off to Brazil teammate Cunha, who produced a superb finish from outside the box and fired his effort into the bottom corner of the net.

Following on from Cunha’s first-half opener for United against Brighton, Casemiro had another major impact on the Premier League clash before half-time.

Casemiro saw his long-range effort take a huge deflection at Old Trafford and his shot landed in the back of the Brighton net past a wrong-footed Bart Verbruggen.
