Despite a stunning win in Dublin on Friday, Ward says the Irish will leave “no stone unturned” as they try to secure a League A spot for World Cup qualifying.

“This isn’t about winning the tie over two legs. This is about going out and trying to win that game as an individual game,” Ward said.

“If we do that, then the job’s done.”

Ward has no fresh injury concerns for the game, and will welcome Anna Patten back into the fold after the defender missed Friday’s win through suspension, but expects a different Belgian side on Tuesday.

Belgium’s record at home is impressive and they defeated European champions England 3-2 in Leuven in April.

The former Aston Villa boss says she anticipates Belgium will “come out with some fight” as they look to overturn the two-goal deficit.

“I expect them to be aggressive very, very early. They’re at home, I’d imagine a packed out stadium,” she added.

“I expect a very different approach, probably similar to what they do, but in a very different way, in terms of energy and intensity.

“This isn’t about going into the game 2-0 up, it’s about trying to win on the night.”
