Chris Evans holds many different hats — actor, director, the Captain America — and now he is wearing a new one: dad! The Sacrifice star reportedly welcomed his first baby with wife Alba Baptista.
TMZ reported that the couple welcomed their first child on Saturday in Massachusetts, according to records. There is no information released on the baby’s name or gender, and the couple have not confirmed the reports yet.

Evans married Baptista in Sept. 2023 on Cape Cod and keep very private. However, rumors swirled that the couple were expecting a baby after a fan account wrote a Father’s Day tribute to Evans’ and Baptista’s fathers, prompting Luiz Baptista to respond, “Many thanks dear Chris. Your turn is coming! 🥰” per TMZ.
The Marvel star told Access Hollywood last November that he “absolutely” wanted kids. Adding, “The title of dad is an exciting one.”
In 2022, Evans told PEOPLE something similar. “That’s absolutely something I want,” he said about fatherhood. “Wife, kids, building a family. When you read about most of the best artists, whether it’s actors, painters, writers, most of them [admit] it wasn’t the work they made [that they are most proud of], it was about the relationships, the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared.”
“So it’s also something through my long 41 years that also rings true,” he continued. “Those things are the most important. I love the idea of tradition and ceremony, I had a lot of that in my life so the idea of creating that, I can’t think of anything better.”
