Police have launched an investigation into the suspicious death of a baby in a Western Australian town.
Officers and paramedics were called to a home in Baldivis, about 40km south of Perth, this morning, where they found a dead eight-month-old.
“Detectives have been deployed to the scene, and inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the child’s death are being undertaken. The death is being treated as suspicious,” a WA Police spokesperson said.
”One woman is assisting police with their inquiries.
“There is no risk to the community.”
Police have urged anyone with information about the baby’s death to contact authorities.
