Sheikh Muafak Tarif and the Druze community’s Situation Room in Israel have appealed to the UN demanding “an investigation into crimes against Druze” in Syria’s As-Suwayda province. According to them, since July 2025, more than 2,000 Druze have been killed in the province, about 8,000 injured, 600 kidnapped or disappeared and 220,000 displaced from their homes. The community added that these constitute “crimes against humanity, war crimes and genocide.”
