No arrests have been made.
MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead early Saturday morning.
In a press release, Minneapolis police stated that officers arrived to a scene near 24th Street East and 18th Avenue South around 1 a.m. Officers found a man in his 20s with at least one life-threatening gunshot wound.
The man was transported to Hennepin Healthcare, where he died. Minneapolis police believe that a verbal argument escalated to gunfire then the alleged shooter fled from the scene.
No arrests have been made as of Saturday morning.
“Gun violence has claimed another life, devastated another family, and further traumatized a community,” Chief O’Hara said in a press release. “Anyone with information about this tragedy is urged to come forward as we work to understand what happened and identify ways to prevent further violence.”
