Tel Aviv University has decided to award an honorary doctorate to Einav Zangauker, mother of former hostage Matan Zangauker, for “the uncompromising, courageous and inspiring struggle she led for nearly two years, together with the Hostages and Missing Families Forum and the broader public, for the return of all hostages to Israel.” The university explained that “the decision also reflects the longing for the return of the deceased hostages, including Hadar Goldin, son of Leah and Simcha Goldin, who is a professor at Tel Aviv University. Zangauker is a symbol of social solidarity, the sanctity of life, unity and parenthood.” The ceremony will take place in May.
