Donegal Town is set to come alive this weekend as the Abbey Hotel and Central Hotel prepare to host a packed line-up of entertainment and celebrations for the much-anticipated All-Ireland Football Final on Sunday, 27th July.

The Abbey Hotel, proudly known as “The Home of Donegal GAA” is pulling out all the stops to support the county team, with a full weekend programme that includes live music, match screenings, and a celebratory atmosphere throughout the venue.

Fans can catch all the action from 3:30pm on Sunday, with 14 HD TVs and 3 massive screens set up in the Abbey Bar. Food will be served from 12pm to 8pm, ensuring supporters are well-fed before and after the big game.

Live entertainment continues this Saturday night with a double act featuring 2 Men 1 Pint at 7pm and Hard 2 Beat at 11pm. The All-Ireland Final day line-up includes Niall O’Connor (8:30pm) and Orlaith Furey (9:30pm), followed by sets from DJ Johnny O’Neill and Brambles into the late hours.

A special Homecoming Celebration is planned for Monday, 28th July, with music from Two Bucks at 9pm, regardless of the final result — though fans and staff alike are hopeful for a victorious return.

Meanwhile, the Central Hotel Donegal is also throwing its support behind the county team with live coverage of the match from 3:30pm in The Central Bar, featuring six screens and finger food at halftime. Traditional music performances will run across the weekend, with acts including Slip Jig, Eunan McIntyre, Nao Cannon, and Luke Kelly, capturing the spirit and heritage of Donegal.

Both hotels have shared heartfelt messages of support for the county team.

“We’re proudly behind you every step of the way,” said a spokesperson for the Abbey Hotel.

“Wishing the very best of luck to the Donegal team and management,” echoed the Central Hotel.

Whether you’re a lifelong fan or simply soaking in the atmosphere, Donegal Town is the place to be this weekend. From live GAA action to traditional tunes and late-night dancing, the community is united in support of their team — and ready to celebrate in style.
