A statement issued by An Garda Siochana reads: “Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the discharge of a firearm that occurred outside a residence in Corduff Grove, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 at approximately 11:00pm on Thursday, 30th October 2025.

“No injuries were reported.

“A technical examination of the scene has been conducted by the Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.”

The incident comes amid rising tensions in the area following an incident linked to gang leader Devon Hennessy.

Devon is currently in prison after he pleaded guilty in August to falsely imprisoning and assaulting a man who was beaten and had the word ‘RAT’ branded on his body.

Devon is known as a violent gangland figure with a lengthy involvement in serious crime.

Earlier this month, the Sunday World reported that GardaÍ are investigating if the family home of a violent robber was burnt out by the Hennessy mob 48 hours after he clashed with Devon Hennessy in Mountjoy Prison.

Sean Powell, from Mulhuddart, west Dublin, was in an altercation with Hennessy in the exercise yard on D-wing in recent weeks, leaving the convicted torturer with a suspected broken nose.

Shortly afterwards, in what is being seen a revenge attack, the house where Powell was raised in Wellview Park, Mulhuddart was deliberately set ablaze.

Sources said the property, which was badly damaged in the arson attack and which has since been boarded up, was unoccupied at the time.

The Hennessy mob are notorious for torching homes of innocent relatives of rival criminals.

Devon Hennessy’s father, Jason Senior, was shot dead by gunman Tristan Sherry at Browne’s Steakhouse in Blanchardstown on December 24, 2024.
