All lanes of the Highway 401 express lanes have reopened in Mississauga after a two-vehicle collision shut them down early Friday morning.
The closures were affecting both the eastbound and westbound lanes from east of Winston Churchill to approaching Mavis.
CityNews traffic spotters say two vehicles were involved in the collision. A tractor trailer jack knifed into the eastbound lanes and broke through the concrete median.
The Ontario Provincial Police says the driver of the eastbound vehicle is a 45-year-old driver from Georgetown. He has been charged with careless driving.
The 45-year-old driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, according to police.
The OPP posted a video showing the aftermath of the crash on Friday morning.
