Survivor of Hamas captivity Rom Braslavski surprised thousands of members of the “Yerushalmim V’Yerushalmiot” (Jerusalemites) Facebook group on Thursday when he posted on the group for the first time.

Braslavski, who was released earlier in the month after two years in captivity, wrote on the group: “Hey dear Jerusalemites, after two years of not being here, I’m back. I missed you so much.”

The post garnered especially emotional reactions, with thousands of likes and supportive comments.
