Several Israeli settler attacks against Palestinians were reported in the West Bank on Saturday, amid a wave of violence targeting residents during the traditional olive-picking season.
In one attack, Palestinian media outlets reported that settlers set fire to two cars and a structure used for raising poultry in the West Bank village of Far’ata. No casualties were reported.
In a separate incident, Palestinian media outlets reported that settlers set fire to property belonging to Bedouins living near the village of Jaba, north of Jerusalem. No injuries were reported. Settlers were also reported to have set fire to Bedouin property in the area on Friday morning.
Settlers also attacked Palestinian olive harvesters in the West Bank village of Burin, the Palestinian WAFA news agency reported, citing local sources.
According to the report, the settlers were accompanied by a guard from the settlement of Yitzhar and assaulted some of the olive harvesters.

There has been a surge in violence in the West Bank, particularly settler violence, which has been taking place on a near-daily basis with little to no police enforcement against perpetrators.
According to the Palestinian Authority’s Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, settlers have carried out 218 attacks on Palestinian olive-pickers since early October.
The PA health ministry says that nearly 1,000 West Bank Palestinians have been killed since October 7, 2023.
The IDF says the vast majority of them were gunmen killed in exchanges of fire, rioters who clashed with troops, or terrorists carrying out attacks. According to the military, troops have arrested some 6,000 wanted Palestinians across the West Bank, including more than 2,350 affiliated with Hamas.
