Police arrested Omar Safa Kusi, a 29-year-old employee of the Turkish embassy in Israel, after he was caught photographing 13-year-old girls in the locker rooms at a Tel Aviv beach. Police took statements from complainants at the scene, according to one of whom a girl saw his mobile phone poking above the door of the stall and when she screamed, other women intervened. According to inspectors at the scene, they accessed the gallery on his phone and saw sexual images there. The Turkish consul requested to keep Kusi detained within the embassy compound and was refused. His detention has been extended until Monday.
