Stoinis strikes with slower ball
Wicket!
Stoinis finds an excellent slower ball for Suryakumar, which holds in the pitch and draws a miscue to cover. Stoinis is happy with that deception and rightly so – Ellis had just been called into a catching position at cover.
The over finishes a bit untidily as Stoinis bowls two deliveries down the leg side to Tilak and concedes five runs from a couple of glances.
9.47pm
Important spell for Kuhnemann
He starts well, beating Tilak a couple of times and conceding three singles off five balls.
But the last ball of the over Kuhnemann comes over the wicket and Suryakumar slices a boundary through cover point.
Stoinis comes on at the other end and first ball Tilak lofts a drive over mid-off for four.

Have India lost Gill? Yes
As Mark Waugh points out in commentary, Australia have been posting off side heavy fields and bowling too straight.
As if on cue, Gill flicks a boundary over midwicket. Next ball though is an excellent Yorker that looks to have Gill lbw. The Test skipper reviews, but ball-tracking shows leg stump knocked over.
Ellis finishes the over off in tidy fashion, but India still get to 2-64 from the six-over Powerplay.

Ellis gets Abhishek
Wicket!
Bartlett’s excellent work in the third over gives Ellis an idea of how to attack Abhishek and he is rewarded. A swift and well-directed short ball draws a skier and Inglis takes it easily.
A strong over by Ellis is tarnished just a bit by a ball on the pads of Suryakumar, who shovels it over the square leg boundary for six.

Abbott returns and bowls a short ball at 125kph that Suryakumar pulls for six with no trouble at all.
Then Abbott delivers a no ball, although the free hit doesn’t get very far.
9.23pm
Bartlett’s second over is excellent
It goes for just four runs and he might have found a way of quietening Abhishek just a little.
By bowling short of a length towards the opener’s body he denies room to free the arms and stops the flow of boundaries.
9.14pm
Abbott into the attack and into the stands
Abbott’s first ball of the series is a slower ball that swings a little and Gill edges it away for a couple.
Abhishek is deceived first up by another slower ball, but then carves four over gully, lofts ix over long-on then times a sweet straight drive for four more. Seventeen off the over.
9.10pm
Bartlett starts – with a no ball
Bartlett’s opening no ball gives Abhishek a look at a free hit but beats the big swing from India’s explosive left-hander.
Third ball is on a good length and disappears for six over point. Nine from the opening over.

Stoinis out for 64, India set 187 to win
Wicket!
It’s been a fine innings by Stoinis, but with four balls left he can’t clear long-on. That’s three wickets for Arshdeep.

Arshdeep concedes 10 off the last over of the innings and India need 187 to win.
That’s going to make for a fascinating chase – Australia don’t have Hazlewood, but India know they can’t afford too many hiccups or they cannot win the series with two games left.
8.41pm
Bumrah’s 19th over is tight
Bumrah bowls the penultimate over.
A couple of quick singles and then a two – Bumrah is trying to land everything on a Yorker length.
Stoinis is confounded by a slower ball Yorker that just misses off stump. Just six from the over.
8.34pm
Stoinis reprieved after catch overturned then gets to 50
India celebrate a catch to get Stoinis at long-on but the replays show the sub fielder hasn’t got his hands under the ball. That’s a big moment.
Stoinis capitalises by crunching a pair of boundaries to backward point – Stoinis’ 50 comes up from 32 balls. Well played.
He finishes the over by cuffing a short ball over the wicketkeeper for four to make it 14 from the over.
