Three Premier League wins on the bounce had United fans glowing all of last week, but it made the Forest draw feel sobering.
Amorim kept the atmosphere positive after the draw, pointing out that United often went on to lose those types of games in years gone by.
After the full-time whistle, Mbeumo echoed his manager and sent a positive message on social media.
“Still a point away! We keep fighting”, Mbeumo posted on his Instagram.
Man United away form is a concern
Amorim has been making Old Trafford a fortress as United head coach, with the Portuguese often stressing the importance of winning and performing well at home.
Home form has been crucial to United’s success this season, with four wins and only one defeat at Old Trafford – to Arsenal on the opening day of the season.
In contrast, United’s only win away from home was the 1-0 victory at Anfield a few weeks ago, when Amorim ended a nine-year winless run on Merseyside.

If United are going to fulfil their potential and battle for a top-four finish this season, the away form will have to improve.
Next up for United is a trip to North London to face Tottenham in their 62,850-seater stadium.
