A man has tragically died and a woman has been hospitalised after a tree fell onto their car.
The pair were travelling along Wilmot Road at Forth, in northern Tasmania, when the tree fell onto their ute about 12.40pm on Saturday.
The driver, a man in his 50s, died at the scene.
The passenger, a woman in her 50s, was flown to Royal Hobart Hospital with serious injuries.
