Six Lionesses have made the Women’s World 11: Hannah Hampton, Millie Bright, Lucy Bronze, Chloe Kelly, Leah Williamson and Alessia Russo.
Hampton, Bronze, Kelly, Williamson and Russo were all a part of England’s UEFA Women’s EURO 2025-winning squad in the summer, with Bright announcing her retirement from international football in October.
“I’m very honoured,” said Kelly. “To be within such an amazing group of players is so special. I’m very grateful but I think for me, winning trophies with club and country is really important, so looking forward to more.”
“When it’s voted for by players as well, it means everything,” added Russo. “They’re the people that you want to impress, they’re the people that you play with every day, so it feels really, really special.”
“I was part of two very successful teams this year,” explained Williamson. “It’s lovely. It’s the one that you can trust the most. Voted for by players has the most credibility.”
The European champions have already been recognised at awards ceremonies in the wake of their triumph in Switzerland.
Goalkeeper Hampton received the 2025 Yachine Trophy at the 69th Ballon d’Or awards.
Russo placed third in the Women’s Ballon d’Or Chloe, while Kelly was in fifth, Leah Williamson in seventh place, Bronze in ninth and Hampton in tenth.
