President Donald Trump’s disapproval rating has hit an all-time high, according to a new poll released Monday.

Trump’s disapproval rating hit 63%, the highest of either of his two terms, according to the CNN poll conducted by SSRS.

The president’s previous highest disapproval rating in the CNN poll was 62%, which was recorded when Trump left office in January 2021, shortly after the insurrection at the Capitol.

Trump’s approval rating in the latest poll was recorded at 37%, matching the lowest of his second term.

At this point in his first term, Trump’s approval rating stood at 36%.

The poll also showed that Americans are unhappy at the current state of the country, with 68% of respondents saying that things are going badly.

Nearly three-fourths of those polled said the economy is in poor shape while nearly half said that issue and cost of living is the top issue facing the country.

Meanwhile, 61% of respondents said Trump’s policies have made the economy worse.

Half said the ongoing federal government shutdown constitutes a major problem while 31% said the shutdown is a crisis.

More than 60% of respondents said they disapproved of how Trump is handing the shutdown, while both the leaders of the GOP and the Democratic Party received a 58% disapproval rating for their handling of the shutdown.

Respondents also said Trump’s policies have had negative repercussions for the country.

A majority — 56% — said Trump’s foreign policies have hurt America’s standing in the world while 57% said the president has gone too far deporting undocumented immigrants.

The percentage of Americans who say Trump has gone too far in his use of presidential power stands at 61% — an increase of 9 percentage points since February.
