A planning application for the construction of an Islamic Cultural Centre in Enniscorthy, which received a large number of objections by the community, has been refused permission by Wexford County Council.
The application, lodged on Tuesday, September 2, was submitted by Syed Hossan and laid out plans for the construction of a new two storey Islamic cultural centre, modified site entrance and new pedestrian entrance, with all associated site works on the Ross Road.
