Western Family and the Vancouver Canucks teamed up to create Bar Down Blast, a limited-edition ice cream. Vanilla flavoured blue ripple ice cream and caramel-filled mini chocolatey pucks.
The J.T. Miller trade was one of the biggest trades in Vancouver Canucks history.
And, the early result in 2025-26? Both the Canucks and New York Rangers appear to be stuck in NHL purgatory with identical .500 winning percentages.
At least for the Canucks, however, they’ve managed to win on home ice this season, something that the Rangers still haven’t been able to accomplish.
Miller and the Rangers lost 3-0 to the Carolina Hurricanes at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night. They’re inexplicably still winless on home ice, losing all six home games to start the season.
Their only home-ice point came during an overtime loss to the San Jose Sharks. They’ve also been shut out in four of those six games.
“It’s not really cute anymore,” Miller said following the loss, according to Mollie Walker of NY Post Sports. “It’s been 14 games.”
“It just starts with myself and the leadership group,” the Rangers captain added. “This is where we need to dig deep and carry the load a little and raise our own expectations for ourselves.”

During their loss to the Hurricanes on Tuesday night, New York managed just one shot on goal in the third period, even though they were trailing 2-0.
The Rangers are currently 6-6-2 on the season. However, they’ve won just once in regulation (against the Canucks) during their last seven games total.
They have managed to achieve a .500 record thanks to the fact that they’re currently 6-1-1 on the road.
However, Miller didn’t appreciate being asked about their road success versus home ice failures.
“What do you want me to say? I just told you, it’s not about being at home or on the road,” Miller said. “We’re trying to win a hockey game.”
Miller has three goals this season, and his eight points rank second overall on the Rangers.
It’s an eerily similar stat line to Elias Pettersson, who also has three goals and 10 points in 14 games for the Canucks.
