The Lionesses back-to-back European Championship glory got the royal seal of approval from Princess Charlotte as she watched the England Women’s team make history on Sunday (July 27).
Arsenal Striker Alessia Russo pulled a goal back for England after the Spanish women’s team went one-nil up thanks to Mariona Caldentey.
But it was Chloe Kelly who Princess Charlotte can thank after she powered the decisive penalty past keeper Cata Coll, sending England fans into a frenzy.

Charlotte was alongside her father Prince William and looked nervy during the shootout, joining plenty of other supporters with their heads in their hands during the tense finale, the Mirror reports.
The Prince of Wales, who is patron of the Football Association (FA), applauded the national anthem as he stood next to Charlotte in the stadium.
At the final whistle, fans of the Lionesses appeared confident as they started dancing and cheering into extra time. William and Charlotte were earlier pictured in Switzerland for the Euros final as the Royal Family led the nation in wishing good luck to England’s Lionesses.

Shortly before kick-off, an image of the pair was posted on the Prince and Princess of Wales’s X account with the caption “let’s go, Lionesses”.
Following the victory, Princess Charlotte was seen cheering with her arms out alongside her father and FA Chair Debbie Hewitt. She equally jumped to her feet in elation.
In a show of support ahead of the final, the Band of the Grenadier Guards performed Three Lions on the Buckingham Palace forecourt, while the royal family’s official X account posted: “Wishing the very best of luck to the @‌Lionesses in the Women’s Euro Final this evening.”

Prince William was seen beaming as he went to greet and congratulated the England players on the pitch following the match.
Fans flooded X to share their delight at the Euro victory – and it seemed Prince William’s cheeriness didn’t go unnoticed.
“Prince William looks so happy,” one person posted, as another wrote: “This could be the most happy and most animated I have ever seen Prince William.”
Another penned: “I have never seen a Royal completely unguarded and celebrate with pure reaction of joy and victory. As any football fan would.”
