A 23-year-old St. John’s man is facing numerous drug and contraband charges as the result of a three-month investigation that culminated with the arrest of three men at a service station in Mount Pearl yesterday.
Cash, weapons and suspected cocaine seized in 3 month RNC investigation (RNC)
Members of the RNC Tactics and Rescue Unit, with the help of the RCMP’s Emergency Response Team contained and cleared a home and two vehicles in St. John’s and two storage lockers in Mount Pearl late yesterday afternoon.

The investigation resulted in the seizure of more than 12,000 cartons of contraband cigarettes valued at over $1 million, 8.5 kilos of suspected cocaine, 23 kilograms of hash, 12 kilograms of suspected ecstasy and MDMA, and 184 pounds of cannabis.
A number of other items were seized including a revolver and more than $17,000 in cash.
Items seized include:
 12,100 cartons of contraband cigarettes with a street value of over $1 million
 8.5 kilograms of suspected cocaine
 23 kilograms of hash
 12 kilograms of illicit pills believed to be ecstasy and MDMA
 Vapes and gummies
 184 lbs of cannabis
 A revolver
 Ammunition
 Brass knuckles
 $17,290 cash
 And other drug paraphernalia
Rylie Nightingale is charged with careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, trafficking and various weapons-related offences.
The charges against Rylie Nightingale include:
 Careless use of firearm
 Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
 Two counts of unauthorized possession of a restricted or prohibited weapon
 Trafficking of controlled substances
 Possession for the purpose of trafficking
 Unsafe storage of a firearm
 Two counts of possession of a weapon knowing its unauthorized
 Possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition
 Possession of a weapon obtained by commission of offence
The two other men arrested yesterday were released with charges pending.
