Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes on Gaza City and Khan Younis early Saturday morning, in yet another violation of the “ceasefire” agreement. The attacks targeted eastern neighborhoods in both cities, while Israeli artillery simultaneously shelled areas east of Khan Younis.
Media sources reported that Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes targeting the eastern areas of Gaza City and Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip early Saturday. No injuries were reported.
At the same time, Israeli artillery shelled the eastern outskirts of Khan Younis, while the soldiers continued to detonate and demolish residential buildings and civilian structures in eastern Gaza City.
On Friday, the Israeli army continued its serious violations of the “ceasefire” agreement, wounding a child, in addition to continuing the demolition of homes and buildings.
The ongoing airstrikes, demolitions, and artillery bombardments reflect a deliberate strategy of collective punishment and forced displacement, in direct violation of international humanitarian law and the terms of the ceasefire agreement.

These strikes are part of a broader pattern of systematic violations. Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have carried out acts of genocidal warfare in the Gaza Strip — resulting in the deaths of approximately 69,000 Palestinians and injuring over 170,000, the majority of them children and women.
Among the slain Palestinians are 20,000 children in addition to 463 deaths due to starvation, including 157 children. More than 33,000 women and girls have been killed by Israel since October 7, 2023.
