A second man has been charged in connection with a homicide that took place in the city’s north end last week.
On Thursday, 57-year-old Timothy James Jefferies was arrested and charged with second-degree murder for the death of Brian David Johnson.
This comes after 56-year-old Derrick Eugene Munroe was also arrested and charged with second-degree murder earlier this week for Johnson’s death.
Police said they do not anticipate more arrests in this investigation.
On Oct. 29, officers found Johnson injured at a home on Richmond Street. Police said he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service later confirmed his cause of death was a homicide.
