Shannon O’Brien scored a stoppage-time equaliser as Leicester prevented West Ham from claiming their first Women’s Super League win of the season.
The Hammers were on course to pick up their first three points of the campaign after Shekiera Martinez broke the deadlock in the 51st minute.
But substitute O’Brien pounced late to break West Ham hearts, poking home Sari Kees’s cross after finding herself unmarked at the back post.
West Ham remain winless after their opening eight league games, but the draw did see Rehanne Skinner’s side claim their first point.
Martinez – the club’s top scorer last term – put the hosts ahead after the restart, getting in front of her marker to direct Anouk Denton’s cross in at the near post for her first goal of the season.
But a lack of concentration cost the Hammers in the end, and they remain rooted to the bottom of the table – level on points with Liverpool, who also conceded a late equaliser to Brighton on Sunday.
Leicester, meanwhile, see their winless run stretch to six games in the WSL and sit 10th – four points above West Ham in the relegation play-off position.
