Following a late second-quarter touchdown by Washington to trim Detroit’s lead to 22-10 with a little more than three minutes left in the half, Detroit put together a 13-play, 64-yard drive taking up three minutes and 28 seconds, culminating with a 22-yard Jake Bates field goal to push the lead to 25-10.
The Lions received the second-half kick and drove 72 yards on just five plays, capped off by a 14-yard Williams touchdown and flip into the end zone. It was a 10-point swing to give Detroit a 32-10 lead without Washington touching the football.
