A well-known board member of one of the Premier League football clubs was summoned by the National Fraud Investigation Unit (YAHAV) to provide testimony. The senior official was summoned due to his acquaintance with insurance agent Ezra Gabai, who is at the center of the Histadrut corruption scandal (‘Hand Shakes Hand’). Last week, another senior figure in Israeli football was investigated as part of the case on suspicion of accepting bribes. The senior official appeared for questioning at the National Fraud Investigation Unit at Lahav 433 and gave testimony regarding the scandal that broke at the beginning of the week.
