‘We want to see Syria succeed, working for them to get along with Israel’

U.S. President Donald Trump said during his meeting with Syrian President Ahmed al-Shra that Washington “wants to see Syria succeed. I think he can do it. Has he had a difficult past? We all have had a difficult past.” According to Trump, al-Shra “gets along great with Turkey, with Erdogan who is a great leader. Syria is an important part of the Middle East. We are working for Israel to get along with Syria, and it’s working great. Hamas is returning the bodies, and that’s something the families want.”
