Make it 20 career Grand Slams for Rachel Homan.

Team Homan won their third straight Grand Slam of the season on Sunday night with a 7-4 victory over Swiss rival Team Silvana Tirinzoni in the Lake Tahoe final.

Homan scored two in the seventh end to take a one-point advantage before stealing two more in the eighth.

Team Homan, also featuring third Tracy Fleury, second Emma Miskew and lead Sarah Wilkes, has defeated Team Tirinzoni in each of the Grand Slam finals this season and own a 35-6 record in 2025-26.

The Ottawa foursome has captured seven Grand Slam titles – and qualified for eight straight finals – since their incredible run of dominance began at the start of the 2023-24 campaign.

Homan and longtime teammate Miskew have now won a record-extending 20 Grand Slams in their impressive careers.

Team Homan, who were the lone Canadian team to qualify for the playoffs in Lake Tahoe, will be massive favourites to win the Canadian Curling Trials later this month in Halifax and represent Canada at the 2026 Winter Olympics in February.

Team Homan has won back-to-back Scotties Tournament of Hearts and World Women’s Curling Championships.

Mouat Stays Hot

Bruce Mouat and his top-ranked Scottish rink proved again Sunday why they’ll be the favourites to win the gold medal at the Winter Olympics come February.

Team Mouat won their second straight Grand Slam of the season – and sixth dating back to the start of the 2024-25 season – by beating Winnipeg’s Team Matt Dunstone, 7-6, in Sunday’s final from Lake Tahoe in Nevada.

Mouat, alongside third Grant Hardie, second Bobby Lammie and lead Hammy McMillan Jr., scored a deuce in the eighth end to tie the contest at 6-6.

Instead of playing a typical extra end to break the tie, the Lake Tahoe Grand Slam used a draw to the button tiebreaker to determine the winner.

Mouat defeated Dunstone by the slimmest of margins, landing his stone 9.5 cm from the pinhole compared to Dunstone’s 9.8 cm.

The Scottish skip, who now has 12 career Grand Slam titles to his name, also defeated Dunstone in the Tour Challenge final last month by a score of 5-2.

Team Mouat has been ranked first overall in the world for over a year now and will be major contenders to win Olympic gold after settling for silver four years ago in Beijing.

The 30-year-old Dunstone will also contend for a medal at the Olympics in Italy if he’s able to get there.

Ranked No. 2 in the world and first in Canada, Team Dunstone are getting set to compete in the Montana’s Canadian Curling Trials from Nov. 22-30.

Dunstone, Colton Lott, E.J. and Ryan Harnden are having a terrific season after dropping the Brier final last winter to Team Brad Jacobs.

They won the opening Grand Slam of the season in September as well as October’s PointsBet Invitational in addition to making the final of the last two Grand Slams.

Dunstone defeated Jacobs in the semifinal of the Lake Tahoe Grand Slam on Saturday after eliminating John Epping in the quarterfinal earlier in the day.
