It looks as though President Donald Trump’s favorite news channel, Fox News, has gone rogue, as host Laura Ingraham confronted him about a series of issues live on air.

On Monday, the Fox News star probed President Trump over many things, including immigration, spending and costs, among others. One topic that really riled viewers up was his controversial 50-year mortgage plan, which Laura questioned if it was “really a good idea.”

Housing costs are still out of reach, and another thing that your administration is trying to tackle,” the Fox News star said during an interview with Trump on her show The Ingraham Angle. “The average age of first-time home buyers are now up to age 40, which is sad for the country.”

President Trump fired back, pointing out, “Yeah, but I inherited that. Look, you have to understand–” but before he could continue, Laura interjected, “Right, but let me get to the question, though, because your housing director has proposed something that has enraged your MAGA friends, which is this 50-year mortgage idea.

“So, a significant MAGA backlash, calling it a giveaway to the banks and simply prolonging the time it would take for Americans to own a home outright. Is that really a good idea?”

“It’s not even a big deal,” Trump insisted, adding, “I mean, you know, you go from 40 to 50 years,” as Laura corrected, “30 to 50.” Elsewhere in the interview, Trump claimed Democrats wanted “$1.5 trillion for healthcare for illegal aliens,” then later spoke about the apparent “11,888 murderers” who entered the US illegally as he continued his rant on immigrants entering the States.

The interview didn’t go down well with viewers in the slightest, with many storming to social media to call the president out on his claims. One user went as far as to “fact check” some of the President’s facts and figures.

They said, “President Trump’s November 10, 2025 interview with Laura Ingraham contained a mixture of false claims, accurate statements, and assertions requiring substantial context. The interview demonstrated a pattern common in Trump’s public statements: mixing accurate observations about economic trends with significantly false claims about policy proposals and immigration statistics.”

They continued, “Trump’s claim that Democrats wanted ‘$1.5 trillion for healthcare for illegal aliens’ is false—that figure represented the entire Democratic spending bill over ten years, and federal law prohibits undocumented immigrants from receiving such benefits.

“His figure of “11,888 murderers” who entered illegally is wrong (the actual ICE data shows 13,099, accumulated over decades across multiple administrations, with many currently serving prison sentences),” the user went on to list.

They concluded, “His repeated assertion that Venezuela ’emptied their prisons’ to send criminals to the U.S. has been thoroughly debunked by fact-checkers and Venezuelan crime experts. On the economy, gas prices were around $3.05, not $2.70 as he claimed, though the U.S. did set oil production records in July 2025.”

A second watcher noticed, “It looks like Donald Trump is even losing Fox News at this point. We should all realize that Trump doesn’t care about voters either, if he did, he wouldn’t have tried to send fake electors to have the election overturned.”

Someone else went as far as to say, “This is the scam in real time. Trump tells his base he’s fighting China —then admits U.S. universities depend on Chinese students to stay afloat. So which is it? The “foreign threat” speech, or the “we need them to keep the system running” truth? He doesn’t believe in MAGA. He believes in saying whatever keeps the cameras on him. There is no ideology here — just need, ego, and improvisation.”

Meanwhile, a fourth person wrote, “On Fox, Laura Ingraham broke the usual script: no softball questions, no deferential nods. She pressed Trump, demanded clarity. For once, the adult was in the room. The cult is arguing with its own creator—and reality is finally winning.”
