The Dundee-born former midfielder played and coached for clubs in Scotland, England, Wales, Germany, Switzerland and Cyprus during a long career.
His accent – said to be a blend of various languages he has spoken during his career – gained significant online attention after a viral interview during his time at Hertha BSC, where he spoke German with a distinctly Scottish accent.

He is currently a coach at Celtic, where Martin O’Neill – a former Norwich City player and manager – has taken interim charge
But many news outlets have linked him to the job at Carrow Road in recent days.
