Hawthorn High Performance Manager Peter Burge has provided injury updates on Mabior Chol, Noah Mraz, Finn Maginness and Josh Weddle ahead of the club’s Round 21 battle against Adelaide on Friday night.

Read what he had to say about each player below.

Mabior Chol – Groin (test)

“He trained at the end of last week and did our main session. We just made the decision to give him another two training sessions to build some work back into him but also have him absolutely ready for this week.”

Noah Mraz – Knee (4-5 weeks)

“He’s tracking really well. We’re at the stage now where we’re very close to progressing to running outside on the grass. He’s just got a couple of little things to tick off in the gym space and the strength side of things. We’re very close to running outside and progressing that from there.”

Finn Maginness – Kidney (season)

“He’s back in Melbourne, he arrived back last Saturday, which is great news for him. He spent a week in Hobart obviously with the injury and under the supervision of the medical experts down there. He’s back home now with his family and as I said last week, the number one priority is his health and wellbeing at the moment.”

Josh Weddle – Back (TBC)

“Josh Weddle had his four-week scan this morning and it was as we expected it to be. This means he can progress into a conditioning program now which he started this morning which is really exciting. In terms of progression from conditioning into training, that’s still a number of weeks away and it will really be determined by our progression as a team towards the end of the season. We’re hopeful that he will play football again this season.”
