Hamilton Police Service continues to investigate the fatal collision that occurred on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Mohawk Road and Upper Wentworth Street.
The victim has been identified as a 52-year-old Hamilton resident who served as a City of Hamilton crossing guard. He was struck by a vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene. The Ministry of Labour has been notified and is conducting a separate investigation, and officials remain on location.
The intersection of Mohawk Road and Upper Wentworth Street remains closed as the Collision Reconstruction Unit continues its work. To support public safety and allow investigators to operate without interruption, officers are redirecting traffic at several locations, including:
