The media in Portugal have not held back in their criticism as they assessed Roberto Martinez and his side after their 2-0 defeat to Ireland in the World Cup qualifiers.
And even though a draw at home to the group’s bottom side Armenia on Sunday will be enough for Portugal to qualify automatically, Martinez and Ronaldo received unprecedented criticism when they landed back in Lisbon in the early hours of Friday.
