Lamar Jackson is good to go against the Cleveland Browns, Head Coach John Harbaugh said Friday.
Jackson missed Wednesday’s practice due to knee soreness coming out of the Ravens’ win over the Minnesota Vikings last Sunday, but returned at full capacity on Thursday and was back on the field again Friday. Jackson said the injury was just part of playing football.
Running back Justice Hill was back on the field Friday after missing the first two practices this week with a toe injury. That gives Hill a chance to play in Sunday’s game in Cleveland, in which the Ravens know they need to run the ball better than they did in their last meeting with the Browns.
Wide receiver Rashod Bateman (ankle), cornerback Marlon Humphrey (finger), inside linebacker Jay Higgins IV (knee), outside linebacker Mike Green (ankle), and left tackle Ronnie Stanley were not spotted Friday. Humphrey and Higgins won’t suit up. Stanley got a day off last Friday.
Bateman hasn’t practiced all week after suffering the injury in Minnesota, making him seemingly doubtful to play Sunday. Devontez Walker would be the next man up, Harbaugh said, which would be his first game action since Week 5.
Green popped up on the injury report Thursday as a limited participant. It would be a significant loss if he can’t play, as the rookie has played more than 70% of the Ravens’ defensive snaps the past four weeks (tops among the team’s outside linebackers) and is coming off one of his best games.
“He’s doing good,” Harbaugh said. “He didn’t practice today. We’ll see how he is tomorrow and then into Sunday.”
