Investigators from Peel Police are asking the public to help identify a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Mississauga that involved a pedestrian.
The collision happened last Friday at about 9:05 p.m. near Eglinton Avenue West and Fallingbrook Drive, west of Mavis Road.
Police say a male pedestrian, who they previously identified as a 56-year-old man from Mississauga, was struck and later died from his injuries.
The driver did not stop or render assistance, they said.
Investigators have identified the vehicle as a 2014–2018 Mini Cooper S.
They say it fled westbound on Eglinton Avenue and likely has significant damage to the right front end, hood, and windshield.
Peel Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area at that time to come forward.
